“Quran; My Life’s Plan” is the motto of the initiative, said Mushtaq Ali, head of the center, the website of the Astan reported.
He made the remark in a meeting with members of the center’s branch in the holy city of Nahaf earlier this week.
Ali said by trying to materialize this motto, the center seeks to develop Quranic activities in all governorates of Iraq.
He said the strategy mainly includes inauguration of Quranic centers, institutes and schools in different parts of the country.
The main objective of the center is to promote Quranic education in society, fill the gaps in the field of Quranic research, and identifying and preparing Quranic talents for participation in national and international Quran competitions, Ali stated.
He went on to stress that cooperation among all of the Astan’s staff is necessary for success in the promotion of Quranic activities and materialization of the strategy.
Iraq is an Arab country in Western Asia. It is an overwhelmingly Muslim country where more than 95 percent of the population are followers of Islam.
Quranic activities have significantly developed in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions and educational programs held in the Arab country in recent years.
